"Shot through the heart and you're to blame/Darlin' you give love a bad name"
It's one of the most famous lyrics in the history of popular music and as soon as you hear the first couple of bars you know you're rocking out to Bon Jovi.
"You Give Love a Bad Name" is just one of several classic songs recorded by New Jersey's historic rock band, Bon Jovi. Other great songs from their repertoire include "Livin' on a Prayer," "Wanted Dead or Alive," "It's My Life," Bad Medicine," and "Have A Nice Day."
Bon Jovi formed in 1983. Since then the band's lineup has remained relatively static: lead singer and guitarist Jon Bon Jovi, guitarist Richie Sambora, keyboardist David Bryan, and drummer Tico Torres. Bassist Hugh McDonald replaced Alec John Such in 1994.
The band released its self-titled debut in 1984. That album was followed b 7800 Fahrenheit (1985), Slippery When Wet (1986), and New Jersey (1988). These albums, especially Slippery When Wet, defined the hard rock sound of the 1980's and propelled Bon Jovi into super stardom.

Bon Jovi followed that successful endeavor with the release of These Days in 1995. Once again the band launched a world tour to support their album's release.
Keep The Faith and These Days were the only two studio albums the band released in 1990's--they combined to sell more than 22 million copies worldwide.
After the 126-show These Days Tour, Bon Jovi took an even longer break from recording and performing before releasing Crush in 2000. The album, which has sold over eleven million copies worldwide, featured the hit single "It's My Life." Th... Read more
