Daughtry Brings 'Leave This Town Tour' to a Town Near You

With two chart-topping albums since his dismissal from American Idol, Chris Daughtry and his eponymous band are hitting the road. The 2010 Daughtry tour kicks off March 18 at the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore.

Fresh off some European dates with pals Nickelback, Daughtry will be pulling in another collaborator for the U.S. run – Lifehouse. Jason Wade (Lifehouse's lead singer) has co-written songs with Daughtry, one of which is slated to be on the upcoming Lifehouse release.

Another track failed to make the cut for Daughtry's latest Leave This Town. Two other hit singles, "No Surprise" and "Life After You," have helped make the record a major success and led Chris to be the first AI contestant to have back-to-back chart toppers.

Marking the band's massive success, great venues like the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles will host Daughtry on their first-ever arena tour. Having spent New Year's Eve rocking Times Square, Daughtry rocks Cleveland on April Fool's Day.

A few Canadian dates find Daughtry in Edmonton on May 13 and Winnipeg on May 17.  Daughtry hits Charlotte, in his home state of North Carolina, on June 11 and the three-month arena swing concludes on June 19, when Daughtry plays the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York.

Chris surely has ridden that fourth-place American Idol finish into a successful career: "Growing up, you dream about singing one of your songs in front of a packed house. I still get chills when we're playing and I hear the crowd singing louder than we are."
