Insomniac with Dave Attell is a
television show on Comedy Central hosted by comedian
Dave Attell. In the typical Insomniac, Attell
goes through a particular city at night, starting
out at a comedy club and then going to various
bars, landmarks, clubs, etc. Along the way he
cracks jokes with passers by and takes pictures
with a disposable camera. The thrill of the show
revolves around the truly bizarre denizens of
the night that Dave encounters at all hours of
the night. Mostly Dave wanders around cities in
North America, but more recently he has been to
Germany and Japan as well. The show always ends
when the sun comes up, Dave bids his camera crew
and the audience farewell, and looks for a place
to crash.
Comedian Dave Attell, just named
one of Entertainment Weekly's "25 Funniest
People in America," has appeared on HBO,
"The Late Show with David Letterman,"
"Late Night with Conan O'Brien," "The
Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and "Everybody
Loves Raymond."
Attell is the writer and host of
"Insomniac with Dave Attell." The Los
Angeles Times says, "Quite simply, it's foul-mouthed,
sophomoric, tawdry, and incredibly fun, combining
the elements of travelogue, documentary and boys'
or girls' night out." Now on sale: "Best
of 'Insomniac with Dave Attell' Uncensored: Volume
2" DVD, along with the first "Insomniac"
DVD, "Best of 'Insomniac with Dave Attell'
Uncensored: Volume 1" and his debut stand-up
CD "Skanks for the Memories."
